Procedures that we offer
Clean (Scale & polish)
A professional clean includes the removal of hard plaque that cannot be removed with brushing and flossing alone. Other minor imperfections such as mesenteric staining can also be removed from the teeth. Our Dentists will polish using a high fluoride paste to help strengthen and repair your teeth to prevent gum disease and tartar build up, leaving your teeth whiter and brighter. We recommend six monthly cleans with your check up appointments as we know that prevention is key to maintaining a healthy smile.
We try our very best to retain your natural teeth whenever possible. However, some teeth can become extensively diseased or injured that they can no longer be restored. In these cases, our highly-experienced Dentists will remove the tooth as quickly, gently and pain free as possible. Having extracted teeth is not ideal as this will not only affect your smile and function but it can also lead to movement and displacement of your remaining teeth. We can work together to explore other replacement options including dental implants, bridges and removable partial or full dentures.
Impacted wisdom teeth are common and may require surgical extraction. Digital X-rays and clinical examination will help determine the best options for removal.
We are happy to service any of your requests regarding both partial and full removable dentures. Getting dental prosthetics for the first time will require a few appointments as it involves a process of taking impressions and fitting/re-shaping the denture so that it is most comfortable and functional for you. Removable prosthetics, such as dentures, help to support the remaining teeth under loading, whilst achieving a great aesthetic demand.
This is a comprehensive full mouth examination including digital x-rays. We will be checking for tooth decay, gum disease and looking at your overall oral health. We recommend six monthly examinations to maintain optimal dental hygiene and prevent serious tooth decay.
Dental Filling + restorations
A filling is a way that we can preserve and repair your natural tooth from any dental cavities, broken, cracked or worn-down teeth. Our Dentists will clean the infected tooth and fill it with Composite material that can be colour matched to the shade of your teeth to achieve a natural appearance. The filling will help to prevent further decay and bacteria entering the cavity.
Root canal treatment
Root canal therapy is necessary when trying to salvage a tooth that has become severely infected or decayed. The nerve along with the infected tissue is removed, the tooth is cleaned and sterilized and then filled and sealed to prevent re-infection. This is generally carried out over 2 or more appointments.
As teeth age and fillings become large, the tooth unfortunately becomes very brittle. These teeth can be reinforced with the placement of a crown. These crowns come in different materials with different properties in strength, durability and aesthetic demands.
A Bridge is a fixed prosthesis that is customized and designed to fill the vacant spaces between your remaining teeth. They are a great option as they function and perform more like natural teeth.
